A Very Iconic Moment on Play School ABC Kids

Our Iconic Tram & Ferry

We were beyond proud to spot our Iconic Ferry, Iconic Ute and Iconic Tram featured on the legendary Play School on ABC Kids. For generations of Australian families, Play School has been the heart of childhood, a place where imagination, storytelling and everyday play come to life. Seeing our toys woven naturally into that world felt incredibly special and, honestly, a bit emotional.

Our iconic range is inspired by the familiar things kids see around them every day, Sydney Ferries crossing the harbour, Melbourne Trams rattling down city streets, and Utes parked out front. To have these pieces featured on a show that has shaped Australian childhoods for decades is a true full-circle moment. Thoughtfully designed and made for open-ended play, our wooden toys sit comfortably alongside the values Play School champions — creativity, curiosity and connection. No screens, no gimmicks. Just good, honest play. A huge pinch-us moment for us, and one we’ll never forget as our range gets consistently featured on the iconic TV show.

Khloé Kardashian shared a sweet moment featuring our Iconic Doll Accessory Kit, seen here being enjoyed by her daughter True during playtime. Captured in a relaxed, everyday setting, the doll accessories fit seamlessly into imaginative play, proof that thoughtful, well-designed toys can travel far beyond borders and into homes around the world. We love seeing our pieces used the way they’re intended: encouraging creativity, nurturing role play and celebrating childhood moments.

Designed with timeless style and made to be played with, the Iconic Doll Accessory Kit brings a sense of calm, charm and storytelling to kids’ play spaces, whether that’s in Melbourne or Los Angeles. A very special moment for us to see our products loved and shared by families globally.

Spotted on Screen with Hamish & Zoë Blake for Tourism Australia

Our Iconic Tram

We loved spotting our Iconic Tram featured in a Tourism Australia campaign starring Hamish Blake and Zoë Foster Blake. Set within a warm, Melbourne scene, the tram appeared right where it belongs, among everyday moments, playful chaos and imaginative storytelling. A subtle but meaningful nod to Melbourne life, woven naturally into a campaign celebrating Australia’s sense of home.

Hamish and Zoë are loved for their humour, honesty and unmistakably Australian charm, making them a perfect fit for a campaign by Tourism Australia. Seeing one of our most recognisable toys included alongside such familiar faces was a proud moment for us. Inspired by the streets and symbols we grow up with, the Iconic Tram is designed to spark imagination while celebrating the places that shape us from everyday family homes to screens around the country.

A Kylie Minogue Moment We’ll Never Forget

Our Melbourne Coffee Snob Tea Towel

We had a serious pinch-me moment spotting our Melbourne Coffee Snob Tea Towel styled as wall art in a post shared by Kylie Minogue, seen by her millions of Instagram followers around the world. Seeing one of Australia’s most iconic artists embrace a little piece of Melbourne coffee culture in her own space felt incredibly special.

We’ve been fans of Kylie since her early days, watching her evolve from Aussie sweetheart to global pop icon. From performances in Melbourne to London, she’s. always represented creativity, confidence and unmistakable style. To see our Coffee Snob Tea Towel appreciated as art in her world? That’s a full-circle moment we’ll treasure. Our tea towels are made to be practical but also proudly displayable. A Proud Spotting in Jacinda Ardern’s Home

Our Iconic Tram

We couldn’t help but smile when we spotted our Iconic Tram quietly sitting in the background of a photo shared by Jacinda Ardern, former Prime Minister of New Zealand. Captured in a real, lived-in family space where kids play, towers get built, and imaginations run wild, it’s exactly where our toys are designed to belong.

Jacinda Ardern has long been admired around the world for her calm, compassionate and courageous leadership. Seeing a woman who led a nation with empathy also sharing a glimpse into everyday family life feels incredibly meaningful. At Make Me Iconic, we believe great leadership and great parenting share the same values — care, creativity, balance and heart. Our wooden toys are made to support that everyday magic: play that’s open-ended, screen-free, and woven naturally into the home. The Iconic Tram is inspired by the everyday icons of Australasia and designed to sit comfortably in modern family homes. Whether it’s rolling across the floor or resting on a shelf mid-play, it’s a reminder that beautiful design and meaningful play can coexist. We love seeing our pieces pop up in real homes, especially ones led by strong, thoughtful women.

A Red Carpet Moment We Loved with Julia Morris

Our Iconic Bubble O’Bill Pencil Case

We had a proper fangirl moment spotting Julia Morris carrying our Iconic Bubble O’Bill Pencil Case as a clutch at the Channel 10 awards night. Julia has long been known for her quirky, playful clutch style, often choosing pieces that spark conversation, so seeing one of our most nostalgic designs step out on the red carpet with her felt incredibly fitting.

Pictured alongside fellow Channel 10 faces at the event, Julia brought her signature humour and confidence to the night, proving once again that style doesn’t have to take itself too seriously. As the much-loved host of I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! and one of Australia’s most recognisable personalities, Julia is celebrated for her warmth, wit and individuality, values we love to champion too.

Our Bubble O’Bill Pencil Case is designed to be practical, nostalgic and fun — and whether it’s holding pencils, essentials, or making an unexpected red-carpet appearance, it’s made to make people smile. Because sometimes, the best accessory is one that doesn’t play by the rules.

As Seen on House Husbands Channel 9

We love a good Easter egg moment, and this one’s a ripper. Our Iconic Tram made a special appearance on House Husbands, spotted in a family living room scene alongside Aussie acting legend Garry Sweet. It’s always a proud moment seeing our designs pop up in real Australian homes on screen, especially in shows that celebrate modern family life, humour and heart. House Husbands was viewed on the 9 Network and ran for 5 seasons.

The Iconic Melway Teapot heading to London for Phill Spencer

Every now and then, an email lands in your inbox that makes you stop and smile. We were delighted (and a little starstruck) to hear from Phil Spencer from Location, Location, Location, who reached out to order one of our Melway Teaots — all the way from the UK! The reason? It was a birthday gift for his wife, who’s from Melbourne.

The Melway Teapot is a celebration of the city we love, its streets, suburbs and everyday details that locals know by heart. Knowing it was chosen as a meaningful gift to remind someone of home made it extra special. From Melbourne kitchens to a London birthday surprise, it’s exactly why we design what we do: to connect people to the places they love, wherever they are in the world.

Iconic, Even from Afar. We’ve always believed that Aussie design has a way of travelling well and this felt like a perfect example. A small but thoughtful reminder of home, wrapped up and sent across the globe. Still pinching ourselves over this one as we always watched his show when we
were living in London.

As Seen in the Dulux Most Loved Interiors Colour Guide

Our Iconic Ute

We’re pretty chuffed to share that our Iconic Aussie Ute has been featured in the Dulux Colour Catalogue, proudly displayed in Bunnings and Homemaker Centres across Australia. Styled in a beautiful, real-family kids’ room, our wooden Ute was chosen as part of Dulux’s interior inspiration, proving that great design doesn’t stop at paint colours. Thoughtful, timeless toys belong in beautiful spaces, too.

Designed in Australia and made from quality wood, the Iconic Aussie Ute is more than just a toy; it’s a keepsake. A wooden toy that belongs in every Aussie Kids’ bedroom.

Heather Nette King Styled on the Wall

Our Melbourne Coffee Snob Tea Towel

We loved spotting our Iconic Melbourne Coffee Snob Tea Towel styled as wall art by
Heather Nette King, a stylist whose eye for detail we’ve long admired. Heather is known for her thoughtful, layered interiors and clever use of everyday objects as design moments. Seeing our tea towel treated as art on the wall felt like the ultimate compliment. She is known for her features in the Sunday Age & Sydney Morning Herald Sunday Life Magazine.

Designed to make you smile; the Melbourne Coffee Snob Tea Towel celebrates Melbourne’s coffee culture with a wink, and it turns out it looks just as good framed as it
does in the kitchen. We love that it can live beyond the drawer: styled, displayed, and part of a home that values personality and playfulness. Being featured by someone who
understands how to balance humour, design and real-life living is exactly why we create
what we do. It’s everyday design, made iconic and made to be seen.

As Seen In The Golf Australian Open with Rory McIlroy

Our Iconic Tram

Our Iconic Trams took centre stage at one of Australia’s most prestigious sporting events, the Australian Golf Open, where they were featured at every hole as tee-off markers across the course. Designed as a playful nod to Melbourne culture, the trams stood proudly alongside the world’s best golfers, proving that great design and a little fun belongs everywhere, even on the fairway.

One of the standout moments for us was spotting Rory McIlroy, currently ranked among the best golfers in the world, teeing off with our Iconic Tram visible on the course. Even better? Rory personally requested a toy tram to take home for his daughter, a moment that perfectly captures what we’re all about: timeless design, meaningful play, and pieces that spark joy across generations. From kids’ rooms to the world stage, seeing our Iconic Trams woven into such an iconic sporting event is something we’ll never forget and a proud reminder that Australian design can travel anywhere.
